Study #1: How mobile is overtaking desktop for global media consumption (June 2016)

This article basically describes a commonality of our society and describes how internet is recently being abused by young people in the society not only for educational purposes, but worse, they are using it at such alarming rates that they forget to make contact with the actual outside world since they are so focused on their mobile phones and the internet/ social media that many are forgetting to be social around friends and strangers. “The expansion of mobile internet consumption is an opportunity for traditional publishers and broadcasters, as much as a threat,” this quote poses the idea that although in some aspect, it is good to use the internet and gather important information from it, it is also a dangerous threat to some people who are constantly abusing it and others, are using it for extremely devious purposes and to extract information on people’s current location amongst other things. This specific article is most than anything else, targeted towards a young audience of teenagers who are the ones who abuse more of this social platform.
